Balloon Safaris

Flights over the African bush in hot air balloons are only available in a few locations, including the Maasai Mara in Kenya and Kafue National Park in Zambia, but provide an unforgettable experience for those lucky enough to participate.

The balloon safari adventure begins just before dawn, as flames from the hot air balloon burners light the darkness. As your rainbow-coloured balloon rises, the first few tongues of sunlight flicker across the skies. The flight lasts an hour or so, drifting wherever the air currents take you, with ample opportunities for photography.

What most people remark upon is the absolute stillness experienced, as you float gently above the plains, forests and rivers of the African bush. Viewing the big game in this way is an entirely unique experience, and well worth seeking out.
